Milling Machine

Stoneglass' selection criteria when researching a suitable milling machine to comply with the industrial manufacturing sector needs include:

  • precision,
  • high tolerance, and
  • stringent requirements in terms of safety and stability.

All are essential requirements that show very definitive results.  The human body, itself an intricate machine, benefits from the technological progress of small-parts machining.

Stoneglass has procured a state of the art industrial milling hardware.  This allows very high precision production of cosmetic dental substructures, providing the added benefit of avoiding the need for any manual finishing.

Stoneglass has designed and developed a specialised fixturing system.  This fixturing system gives the milling machine full autonomy as a full production machine.  Further progress has lead into multiple units (from 11 to 20 units) being machined in under 2 hours.  Versatility is paramount with currently three choices of modern materials being used in the Full Production Machine cycle: Zirconia, Titanium and Plastic.

The ability to effectively mill the following objects was a condition of the final decision making process when choosing a suitable milling machine:
